Research profile
Majid Nabi is an Assistant Professor in the Electronic Systems group of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). His research interests include different aspects of efficient and reliable networked embedded systems, wireless sensor networks and the internet-of-things.
Dependability is of paramount importance in many applications, and a challenge in the design of low-power embedded networks and systems. Satisfying the stringent quality-of-service requirement needs efficient and smart design of the whole network, from the design of low-power radio transceivers to the whole communication protocol stack. Nabi’s focus of research includes mechanisms for efficient protocol stacks, network modeling and optimization, as well as techniques for power-efficient baseband processor design. Nabi has applied his research in the healthcare and wellness, automotive, and environment monitoring applications.
Academic background
Majid Nabi received his MSc in Computer Architecture from the University of Tehran in 2007, and his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in 2013. He became Assistant Professor at TU/e in 2014, after a brief period as a postdoc. Nabi has several years of industrial experience in design and implementation of embedded systems.
