Research profile

Yaping Luo is a part-time assistant professor at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) and research lead of software engineering and automation team at ING Tech R&D. Her current research areas include conceptual modeling and meta-modeling, software re-engineerng/reverse engineering, low-code development, business process modeling, test automation, model based testing, etc.

Her pervious research also includes safety engineering, functional safety in the automotive domain, safety assessment according to safety standards, safety case development and automotive architecture design, etc. During the PhD period, Yaping Luo has worked on modeling safety standard (such as ISO26262), using model-based techniques to support safety assurance or assessment (such as safety argumentation modeling and metrics design).

Academic background

Yaping Luo received her PhD from TU/e in the Netherlands in 2016. She also holds a MSc and BSc in Computer Science from the Beihang University. She has worked as advanced consultant at Applied Modeling group at Altran, during this period she also worked as scientific programmer at ASML (via ESI and Altran).
