Personal profile

Research profile

My research focuses on the development of advanced optimization methods for engineering design, with particular emphasis on optimization under uncertainty, optimization governed by partial differential equations, and multi-objective optimization. I am interested in bridging mathematical problem formulations with practical design applications, enabling robust and efficient solutions. I am interested in the design of imaging systems, balancing optical performance, efficiency,  and manufacturability.

Academic background

I studied Computational Engineering Science at RWTH Aachen University, where I developed a strong foundation in applied mathematics, numerical simulation, and engineering design. I completed my Ph.D. in Mathematics at the University of Kaiserslautern, where I also continued as a Postdoctoral Researcher. During this time, my research focused on aerodynamic shape optimization, shape design for internal flows, and topology optimization. I combined multi-objective optimization and optimization under uncertainty, and explored new strategies for one-shot optimization methods.  This formed my interest in developing mathematical and computational methods that advance engineering design through optimization.
