Karolin Winter is an Assistant Professor in Information Systems at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). Her main research interests are located in the area of business process compliance and process mining with a particular focus on applying, enhancing and developing process and data mining as well as natural language processing techniques.

Academic background

Karolin Winter obtained her doctoral degree in computer science from the University of Vienna in 2021. Before joining TU/e, she was postdoctoral researcher at the Technical University of Munich at the Chair of Information Systems and Business Process Management. She received the runner-up best dissertation award at the International Conference on Business Process Management in 2021, the best student paper award at the International Conference on Conceptual Modeling in 2020 and served as reviewer and PC member for international conferences and journals.
