Research profile

Dr.ir. J.W. (Helm) Jansen received his MSc degree (cum laude) and his PhD degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering of the Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands, in 2003 and 2007 respectively. He continued to work in the Electromechanics and Power Electronics group of the Eindhoven University of Technology, where he is currently an associate professor in the field of electromechanics for high-precision systems. His research includes the modeling (both semi-analytical and numerical) and the design advanced electromechanical devices, such as linear and planar motors, (integrated) magnetic bearings, multi-DOF actuators, and wireless energy transfer systems.
