J.F.P.W. (Ralph) Maas

Ralph Maas is a doctoral candidate at the Power and Flow group in de Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology. He experimentally researches the concept of turbulent jet ignition using a prechamber for heavy duty hydrogen combustion engines. 

Ralph Maas obtained his master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology in 2023. His graduation project, performed at TNO Powertrains in Helmond, was concluded with the thesis 'Numerical study on the design of a passive pre-chamber for a heavy-duty hydrogen combustion engine'. After working one year at DAF Trucks N.V. in the Global Powertrain department, he started as a doctoral candidate in early 2025.
