Jesse van Remmerden is a PhD candidate in the Information Systems group at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). His research interests relate to the intersection of Combinatorial Optimization (CO) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
He focuses on (offline) reinforcement learning for scheduling problems and on enabling the learning of scheduling policies from suboptimal data examples. His other research interests relate to human-in-the-loop decision making. His PhD is supervised by Dr. Zaharah A. Bukhsh and Dr. Yingqian Zhang.
