Research profile

Jasper van Dijk is a PhD candidate with an interest in transdisciplinary research in the field of sustainability transitions. His research is part of the NWO-funded project "Organising Knowledge and Learning for the Regional Energy Transition" (ORAKLE). His work focuses on the governance of energy transitions and specifically the role of learning in relation to transition governance. By adopting an action research approach, Jasper actively engages and collaborates with practitioners in the energy transition.

Academic background

Jasper holds a BSc in Natural Sciences (Radboud University Nijmegen) and a MSc in Innovation Sciences (Technical University of Eindhoven). As part of his MSc thesis, he studied how multi-level governance dynamics influence a region's capacity to govern the energy transition. During his studies, Jasper did exchanges at the National University of Singapore and Uppsala University (Sweden) where he took minors in the field of public policy and sustainable development.
