Personal profile
Research profile
Jarne van Gemert is a Doctoral Candidate at the Control Systems (CS) group at the Department of Electrical engineering. Her research focuses on addressing the challenges of water distribution networks (WDNs), specifically targeting unknown network structures, undetectable leakages, and the localization of leaks. This project aims to integrate and adapt theoretical approaches to provide practical solutions for these issues. This project is a collaboration between the University of Technology in Eindhoven and Wetsus, the European centre of excellence for sustainable water technology in Leeuwarden. The research is conducted under the supervision of Associate Professor Mircea Lazar and Assistant Professor Valentina Breschi.
Academic background
Jarne van Gemert received her B.Sc. in Mechatronics from Fontys Hogeschool Eindhoven in 2020. She received her M.Sc. in Systems and Control from the University of Technology in Eindhoven, cum laude, in 2023.
