After graduating from the University of Greenwich (UK), I worked as a facility manager at the Dutch police force for several years. Since 2007 I have been working as a senior lecturer at the School for Facility Management at Hanze University of Applied Sciences (UAS) Groningen. From 1 September 2018 I started my Ph.D. research. I am supervised by Prof. dr. Helianthe Kort, professor of Building Healthy Environments for Future Users, co-supervisor and assistant professor Dr. ir. Marcel Loomans of the Department of the Built Environment, Eindhoven University of Technology and co-supervisor Dr. Mark Mobach, professor Facility Management at Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen. The research focuses on the indoor environmental conditions in classrooms of universities (higher education). The aim of this research is to develop guidelines for an optimal indoor environment in classrooms for higher education.
