Personal profile

Quote

Recognizing induced microstructure and polymer behavior during processing is a prerequisite to secure complex materials with the desired properties.

Research profile

Hamid Ahmadi works on phase morphology development and stabilization in immiscible polymer blends. The main objective of his current research is to develop a new compatibilization technique, which employs formation of a stereocomplex crystal in the interphase. Another area of interest is the correlation between processing-induced microstructure in semi-crystalline polymer blend and other parameters such as rheological, thermal, and electrical properties.

Academic background

Hamid Ahmadi studied Polymer Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), where he obtained his MSc in 2014 with a master thesis entitled ‘’Effect of nanoparticle partitioning on the rheological and electrical properties of immiscible polymer blend with co-continuous morphology’’.  In 2015, he started his Ph.D. in Polymer Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology. Now, he is a visiting Ph.D. student in the group of Polymer Technology at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e).
