Gijs Doornbusch has a Bachelor Water Management (Aquatische Ecotechnologie) at HZ University of Applied Sciences (Vlissingen, The Netherlands) and is Master of Science Water Technology at Wetsus Academy (Leeuwarden, The Netherlands).
He started as a PhD Candidate in the Membrane Materials and Processes Group, Department of Chemical Engineering & Chemistry, Eindhoven University of Technology and Wetsus, European Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Water Technology, Leeuwarden.

Research profile

The aim of the project Low energy seawater desalination using electrodialysis is to investigate ED for seawater desalination by systematically investigate operation parameters, such as flow arrangements, retention times and current distribution, and design parameter, such as cell design and multi- electrode systems on the desalination performance, energy use and water recovery.
