Academic background

Gabriele Federico received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in telecommunication engineering from the University of Bologna Alma Mater Studiorum, Italy, in 2013 and 2016, respectively, and the P.D.Eng. degree from the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), in 2018. He obtained the Ph.D. degree in 2023 with the Electromagnetics Group of the department of Electrical Engineering at TU/e. 

He worked at The Antenna Company, Eindhoven, The Netherland, as antenna engineer from 2018 to 2019, and he continued this collaboration during his Ph.D. studies. In addition to the collaboration with The Antenna Company, after being selected as winner of the EuMA Internship Award 2023, Gabriele was guest researcher at the Research Institute XLIM, Limoges, France, for a period of three months.

Research profile

Gabriele Federico is an Assistant Professor in the Electromagnetic group at TU/e. His research interests include antenna array design for mm-wave wireless communications, antenna measurements,  and RF material characterization.
