Gabriela Grońska obtained her Master of Science in Electronics and Computer Science in Medicine from Warsaw University of Technology (Warsaw, Poland) in 2019. As part of her academic journey, she participated in the Erasmus Exchange Program at KU Leuven (Leuven, Belgium) in 2017–2018. Prior to that, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Warsaw University of Technology in 2016, with additional studies at AGH University of Science and Technology (Cracow, Poland) and Budapest University of Technology (Budapest, Hungary).
Gabriela Grońska is a PhD candidate in the Signal Processing Systems group (Electrical Engineering Department) at Eindhoven University of Technology and a member of the Biomedical Diagnostics Lab.
Her research focuses on respiratory monitoring using diaphragmatic electromyography (dEMG). The ultimate aim of her research is to use dEMG and signal processing methods to enable non-obtrusive respiration effort detection, with a particular focus on patients suffering from sleep apnea.
