Academic background

Franz Lampel received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from Graz University of Technology, Austria, in 2015 and 2018, respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2024 from Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), The Netherlands. Since 2024, he has been a postdoctoral researcher in the Information and Communication Theory Lab at TU/e.

Research profile

Franz Lampel's research interests include signal processing for communication and sensor technology, waveform design and modulation techniques. His research focuses on understanding the trade-off between joint communication and sensing.
