Research profile
Elisabetta Peri is an assistant professor in the Signal Processing System group (Electrical Engineering Department) and member of the Biomedical Diagnostic Lab of the Eindhoven University of Technology.
Her research focuses on biomedical signal processing, with specific interest on electrophysiological signals for neuromuscular, respiratory and cardiac investigations. The ultimate aim of her research is to use advanced signal processing methods to enable non-obtrusive patient monitoring through electrophysiological signals and sweat sensing.
Academic background
Elisabetta Peri received her Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano (Milan, Italy) in 2013. In 2017 she obtained a doctoral degree in bioengineering at Politecnico di Milano, in collaboration with two scientific hospitals, working in the field of neurorehabilitation. Her PhD thesis aimed at quantifing possible neural correlates of functional recovery for patients with congenital (cerebral palsy) or acquired (stroke, brain tumor, Parkinson disease) brain injuries.
In March 2019, she joined TU/e as a postdoc, focusing her research in electrophysiological monitoring.
