Ehsan Shekarian is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the IEM unit, University of Oulu, working on the university's strategic research profile area called Inorganic Side Streams (InStreams). He is also a Guest Researcher at the Operations, Planning, Accounting, and Control (OPAC) group at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). Previously, he was a Postdoc at Kharazmi University in Tehran funded by Iran's National Elites Foundation (INEF), and Research Fellow at Tampere University in Finland. He got his PhD in 2017 from the University of Malaya (59 QS 2021) in Manufacturing Management (Engineering and Engineering Trades). His interests include Circular Economy, Supply Chain Management, Closed-Loop Supply Chains, Operations Research, and Inventory Management and Optimization. He is an expert in analyzing different aspects of supply chains, specifically demand, pricing, and inventory systems, through the sustainability perspective. He has a strong ability to analyze the data by applying statistical methods.
