Research profile
Domagoj's research interests center on the control of uncertain nonlinear systems, with a specific focus on addressing computational challenges inherent in such methodologies. He is particularly intrigued by risk-averse and distributionally robust problems. Currently, he is actively involved in developing Model Predictive Control strategies tailored for pandemic scenarios. His work aims to contribute novel computational methods for robust control strategies, offering valuable insights for practical applications in both general uncertain systems and specific contexts such as pandemic control.
Academic background
Domagoj Herceg was born in Split, Croatia. He earned his B.Sc and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology with great honor, all from Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing at the University of Zagreb, Croatia. In March 2020, he defended his Ph.D. thesis titled “Stochastic Model Predictive Control of Nonlinear and Uncertain Systems” at the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca, Italy.
