Biography

Chiel van Oosterom started in September 2015 in a tenure-track position at the Econometric Institute in the Erasmus School of Economics, Erasmus University Rotterdam.

At Eindhoven University of Technology, he is in the final phase of his PhD studies conducted under supervision of prof. Geert-Jan van Houtum. The topic of his dissertation is "Maintenance Optimization with Imperfect Information." His broader research interests are in the area of decision making under uncertainty.

Chiel holds a BSc degree in Econometrics & Operational Research (2008) and an MSc degree in Econometrics & Management Science (2010) from Erasmus University Rotterdam, both with the predicate "cum laude."

Fingerprint Fingerprint is based on mining the text of the person's scientific documents to create an index of weighted terms, which defines the key subjects of each individual researcher.
