Bart J. A. Bas received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. (cum laude) degrees in electrical engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands, in 2020 and 2023, respectively. During his M.Sc. degree, he specialized in photonic integration and electromagnetics and his graduation project was on the topic of integrated microwave photonics. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. degree in the Photonic Integration Research group, at the same university. He is researching the usage of new materials and developing novel building blocks for photonic integrated circuits using hybrid photonic integration.
