Academic background
Arash Pourtaherian received his BSc. degree in Electrical Engineering jointly from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, IN, USA and University of Tehran, Iran in 2010. He then moved to the Netherlands, where he studied MSc. Electrical Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). He received his PhD degree in 2018 from the Video Coding and Architectures—Signal Processing Systems group at the Electrical Engineering faculty.
Research profile
Arash Pourtaherian is a post-doc at TU/e, working on ultrasound imaging and analysis, 3D sensing and reconstruction, and medical data processing. Currently, he is also a senior compute architect at GrAI Matter Labs (GML) working on ultra-low power, fully programmable neuromorphic computing for sensor analytics and machine learning, powered by brain-inspired technology.
