Research profile

Annemieke is a PhD candidate in the field of Socially Shared Regulation of Learning (SSRL) in higher engineering education. She researches how teams and indivual team members regulated their learning in active learning environments (such as Challenge-Based Learning). 

Academic background

Annemieke obtained her Bachelor degree within the field of Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences at the Technical University Eindhoven (TU/e). After this she continued her study at this university resulting a Master degree in the field of Science Education. 

In addition to her studies, she worked as student assistent (SA) at TU/e innovation Space. The center of expertise for Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) and student entrepreuship at TU/e. Where she was actively involved in facilitating the CBL research community and other initatives that relate education research to practice.

She was part of the coreteam when TU/e innovation Space won the "Dutch Higher Education Award"  in 2021.  The jury was pleased to see how the the team behind TU/e innovation Space conducts thorough research into student learning in this active learning environment.
