Andrea Kis has completed both of her Bachelor's at Debrecen University (Hungary). She has been trained as an Information Scientist and afterward, a Behavioral Analyst. After studying Cultural and Interpersonal psychology, she decided to obtain a Master's degree in Environmental Psychology at the University of Groningen. Her studies lead her to the conclusion that academics and academia as a system face unique issues that decrease the reliability of science. She became interested in making science sustainable and pursued her interest in questionable research practices, responsible conduct of research, and the psychology of science. In her PhD project she is interested in the psychological determinants - so, intrinsic and extrinsic motives - of research actions.
