Research profile
Amirreza is a Ph.D Candidate in Information Systems and Business Intelligence at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). Where he has served as a researcher under the supervision of Prof. Remco Dijkman and Dr. Laura Genga since 2019. During his PhD, he has collaborated with Jan de Rijk Logistics, T-Systems, Rail-flow and PTV Group in the frames of the FENIX Project (A European FEderated Network of Information eXchange in Logistics), with a primary focus on data-driven online transport planning and optimization in multimodal transportation under uncertainty using Deep Reinforcement Learning methods. In addition to this collaboration, as a data scientist contractor at Dassault Systèmes - Delmia Quintiq, he conducted research on the application of Graph Neural Networks and Deep Reinforcement Learning for scheduling optimization.
Academic background
He obtained his B.Sc. in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science from Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT) in 2015. This background in Mathematics aided him greatly in earning an M.Sc as a top-ranking student in Computer Software Engineering with a minor in Data Science from Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) in 2018. During my Master's degree, He also worked as a researcher at Data Engineering Lab (DEL) and data science researcher focusing on graph-based anomaly and fraud detection and credit scoring using Machine Learning approach at IUST Advanced Big Data Analysis Laboratory (ABDAL).
Beyond academia, he co-founded Nullatech AI, a B2B SaaS provider based on big data analytics and machine learning algorithms on massive market data, customer behavior, and social media. For about three years, he served as a data scientist and led 5 to 10 team members.
In addition, here are his International awards and honors for his cutting-edge startup. He has been a recipient of the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) Award for novel AI algorithm design and innovative solutions to financial market prediction (Tehran, Iran, 2017). His startup selected among top Fintech picks to participate in TechCrunch Battlefield (Berlin, Germany, 2018), accepted among top Startups for Acceleration Program in TechStars Accelerator, (London, United Kingdom, 2018), Startup Istanbul Top 15 Finalists startups among 25000 teams, and +135 countries (Istanbul, Turkey, 2017), Turkey Innovation and Entrepreneurship week Top 60 Startups Global Pitching Winners among +31 countries (Istanbul, Turkey, 2017).
Quote
"Basically, I'm not interested in doing research and I never have been... I'm interested in understanding, which is quite a different thing. And often to understand something you have to work it out yourself because no one else has done it." — David Blackwell
