Ashkan Farsaei is enrolled in an industrial Ph.D. program, i.e., SILIKA, which is a European funded Marie Curie project with partners from Sweden, Belgium, and the Netherlands. He is affiliated with the Signal Processing Systems (SPS) group in the Electrical Engineering Department of Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) and he is a member of the Information and Communication Theory Lab. His research focuses on signal processing techniques related to the fifth-generation (5G) of mobile communication systems.
Academic background
Ashkan Farsaei holds a B.Sc. (2013) and M.Sc. (2015) degrees in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. His MSc research focused on the millimeter-wave imaging system, which is used in the airports.
During his Ph.D., he did an industrial internship in Ericsson Research for 18 months, where he focused on practical aspects of research related to 5G and beyond.
