Ahmad Alrianes Bachnas was born on 25th September 1985 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.  He received his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung (Indonesia) in 2008 and his Master degrees (MSc) in Systems and Control from the Technische Universiteit Delft (Netherlands) in 2012. His MSc topic was "Linear Parameter Varying Modeling of a High-Purity Distillation Column". Currently, he is working as a PhD candidate in SMART (Streamlined Methods for APC Robust Technology) Project, which aimed at developing a set of breakthrough Advanced Process Control (APC) technologies that have streamlined implementation and automatic maintenance. This is a joint project with IPCOS and the academic partners of TU/e and KU Leuven.
