Afonso has joined the Operations, Plannning, Accounting and Control group in the Department of  Industrial Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology as a PhD student since September 2015. He obtained a B.Sc. degree in Computational Mathematics from Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG, 2011) and a M.Sc. degree in Computer Science (UFMG, 2014). After hecieving his M.Sc. degree, he worked as an assistant researcher in the project Port-Ship Coordinated Planning (PoShCoP) at Molde University College, Norway. Now he is working on transportation problems for city logistics, in particular with a focus on dynamic vehicle routing problems, under the supervision of prof.dr. Tom van Woensel and dr. Luuk Veelenturf.


Fingerprint Fingerprint is based on mining the text of the person's scientific documents to create an index of weighted terms, which defines the key subjects of each individual researcher.
