Personal profile
Academic background
Having studied at ETH Zurich (Switzerland) with a focus on renewable energy technologies and energy conversion, Adrian Mularczyk obtained his master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2016. Furthering a career in science, Adrian continued his academic pursuits at the Paul Scherrer Institute in the Fuel Cell Systems & Diagnostics group of Dr. Felix N. Büchi. He investigated polymer electrolyte fuel cells using X-ray tomographic microscopy and graduated in 2021 with a PhD in Chemical Engineering. Having been granted funding by the EuroTechPostdoc2 program, starting in October 2021, Adrian joined the Membrane Materials and Processes group under Antoni Forner-Cuenca at Tu/e as a postdoctoral fellow.
Research profile
As postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) Adrian is investigating porous structures with bimodal pore size distributions. The aim is to generate tailor made structures for electrochemical conversion processes which are often suffering from complex mass transport phenomena which limit performance.
