Organisation profile

Introduction / mission

Processes involve coherent series of changes over time. Process Analytics uncovered the hidden structures in these processes and uses these for process improvement. The process analytics group focusses on the interplay between processes, the data these processes generate, the models that are used to describe them, and the systems that support these processes. The group distinguishes itself in the Information Systems discipline by its fundamental focus on modelling, mining, understanding, analyzing, and improving these processes.

Highlighted phrase

Our mission is drive innovation in process mining: the data-driven study of processes

Organisation profile

The ubiquitous availability of digital trace data, combined with advanced data analytics capabilities, offers new and unprecedented opportunities to study such processes through process mining on multiple data sources.

As part of the department of Mathematics and Computer Science, we develop the tools, techniques and knowledge to advance the field of process analytics.

UN Sustainable Development Goals

In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. Our work contributes towards the following SDG(s):

  • SDG 3 - Good Health and Well-being
  • SDG 7 - Affordable and Clean Energy
  • SDG 9 - Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
  • SDG 11 - Sustainable Cities and Communities
  • SDG 12 - Responsible Consumption and Production
