The Precision Medicine group focuses on designing and evaluating nanotherapeutics that regulate the immune response to treat a range of conditions, including cancer, cardiovascular and autoimmune diseases.
Nanotechnology for immunotherapy
Nanotechnology can be applied to empower the immune system’s ability to fight disease, by promoting or inhibiting an immune response, by polarizing macrophage function, or by targeting myeloid cell dynamics. The innovation cascade involves developing biocompatible nanoimmunotherapeutics from natural molecular building blocks and comprises an innovative translational workflow, involving noninvasive imaging for testing on small and large animal disease models.
