Introduction / mission
At PULS/e, our mission is to revolutionize medical imaging by pioneering advancements in ultrasound and photoacoustic technologies. We aim to transform clinical decision-making through early and precise diagnosis, non-invasive monitoring, and personalized treatment planning. By employing a wide range of scientific and engineering techniques—from hardware development and signal processing to clinical studies and first-in-man pilots—we strive to replace costly and hazardous imaging modalities with safe, cost-effective solutions.
Our ultimate goal is to enhance patient care, improve healthcare outcomes, and contribute to healthcare sustainability.

Organisation profile
Ultrasound Imaging: The Future of Medical Diagnostics
Ultrasound imaging (US) is a key tool in modern diagnostics, used for rapid diagnosis, disease monitoring, and guiding interventions. Over the past two decades, it has advanced rapidly, becoming a safe, cost-effective alternative to other imaging methods. It is now widely used from tertiary to primary healthcare, reflecting the belief that "the future of medical imaging is sound."
Innovations and Advancements
To meet the demand for high-fidelity imaging, new concepts are being developed to overcome traditional US limitations. Innovations like photoacoustics, functional imaging, and model-based analysis provide detailed insights into tissue morphology and function. These advancements enable early diagnosis, continuous monitoring, and personalized treatment plans, improving patient outcomes and quality of life.
