Introduction / mission
Advancing the fundamental understanding of soft materials and interfaces to enable their rational design and sustainable use.
Highlighted phrase
Connecting microstructure, flow, and performance in soft materials.
Organisation profile
Our research investigates how microstructure, interfaces, and flow govern the behavior of different classes of soft materials. Using rheology as a central tool, we uncover the mechanisms linking structure and dynamics across scales and establish structure–processing–property relationships that guide the design of advanced materials and formulations. A particular focus is on fluid–fluid interfaces and their role in controlling the structure, stability, and rheological behavior of emulsions, foams, and other multiphase soft materials.
