Impact: Research Topic/Theme (at group level)

Description of impact

Next-generation robots are expected to co-exist and collaborate with humans and exhibit safe, agile, and compliant physical interaction in complex environments. As a section, we contribute to the development of next-generation robots by fundamental and applied research for performance enhancement on the following focal areas:

- Robot Manipulation
- Soft robotics
- Mobile robotics
- Human-robot collaboration, shared control, and teleoperation
- Novel sensing, control, learning, and planning in dynamic environments for increased robot autonomy.

Our section fosters a strong collaboration with national and international partners, the high-tech industry in the Eindhoven Brainport region, and the Eindhoven Artificial Intelligence Systems Institute and the High-Tech Systems Center of the TU/e.
