Description
PMP has a 90 femtosecond pulsed light source tunable over a broad spectral range (550 nm – 10 um). This system consists of several solid-state laser, i.e. a oscillator (SpectraPhysics Tsunami, left picture) and regenerative amplifier (SpectraPhysics Spitfire, right picture) combined an optical parametric amplifier (SpectraPhysics TOPAS-C). This light source is employed for the investigation of interfaces and surfaces with nonlinear optical techniques such as spectroscopic phase sensitive second-harmonic generation (SHG) and broadband sum-frequency generation (BB-SFG).
