Conversion of heritage structures and landscapes and decrease of their vulnerability to climate change impact is of growing interest and concern within the scope of architecture, engineering, landscape architecture and urban planning. This course offers a critical and analytical study of the diverse impacts of transformation designs and climate change on heritage, focussing on heritage significance and its integration into the wider development agenda. Students will conduct a retrospective heritage impact assessment on assigned case studies and will recognize and argue the roles played by heritage in different contexts.
