Description

Many processes can be modeled using stochastics variables. In this course some (continuous) probability distributions are given that can be useful for models in practical applications. Such a model has unknown parameters that has to be estimated using available data. In this course one learns to construct confidence intervals for such parameters. The concept of hypothesis testing is introduced. Regression models are introduced to describe complex processes (such as a production process).
