This course (SDE) is an introduction to programming and more generally to software development. Every engineer will encounter software as (part of) a product or in the development process of a product. SDE is positioned as a follow up of Data Analytics for Engineers, in that it also uses Python and Jupyter notebooks. In addition, SDE deals with stand-alone Python applications with a graphical user interface (GUI). Besides programming, there is also attention for software documentation, testing, and version management (using Git).
