Signals and Mathematics

Signals are functions of time that encode or represent information. To reveal this information, signal processing is required.Traditionally, the frequency contents of a periodic signal can be studied using its Fourier series. Sampling makes it possible to process a signal by using a computer. In this course, an introduction to these ideas is presented. The mathematics part consists of a continuation of Calculus to functions of more than one variable, and an introduction to complex numbers.
