Semiconductor physics and materials

Course

Description

Electronics is pervasive in our world. Smart phones, internet, social media, artificial intelligence, medical diagnosis (to give just a few examples) would not be possible without the incredible computational power, speed and accuracy of today’s electronics. All this is made possible by the development of high-performance semiconductor devices, namely field-effect transistors, and their scaling to nanometer size. In this course you will discover the complex and incredibly fascinating behavior of these devices, understand their limitations, and become aware of the link between circuit performance and physical operation.
