Polymer and colloid science

Course

Description

The science of colloids and polymers is the basis of understanding soft matter materials that are neither solid, nor liquid but in between. Examples of such materials can be found everywhere around us: food products, paints, soaps, gels, and many biological materials. In this course it is demonstrated how interactions between (macro)molecules and colloidal particles can lead to complex structures, mechanical properties and phase (in)stability at a larger scale.
