Physics for Engineers

Course

Description

The course “Physics for Engineers” provides an introduction to the subjects of mechanics, wave phenomena, thermodynamics and optics, concepts that are indespensible in an engineer’s toolbox. These subjects will be brought to life through a number of live demonstrations in the lecture hall. The course also aims at the students’ mastery of the language of the natural sciences more generally, which materializes in discussions of dimensions, units and the art of measuring. The relevance of physics for the students’ programs will be demonstrated by relating the subject matter to real-world design and engineering problems.
