In this course, thermodynamics are applied to complex systems, such as gas and liquid mixtures, phase transitions, and chemical equilibria. Subsequentially, the thermodynamic foundation will be used to build models for the behavior of, for instance, non-ideal binary mixtures and polymer mixtures, and to enable a thermodynamic description of interfaces.
