Description

Using motivation and performance as central concepts, this course will provide the student with an in-depth understanding of how individual and situational factors interact in influencing organizational behavior and performance. This course is a version of Performance Enhancement (1JM11) for PhD/ PDENG students. Students have to write an individual paper under the guidance of one of the lecturers. Topic to be determined jointly by the preferred lecturer and the student.

Objectives

In this course, students get familiarized with the diverse aspects of human performance in organizations. Students will increase their knowledge about human performance on individual, group, and organizational levels of analysis using state-of-the-art developments in the field of work and organizational psychology. This course is aimed to teach students how to apply the theoretical knowledge in order to enhance human performance. Furthermore, students are trained to critically read scientific articles and to design new studies in the area of performance enhancement.
