The course provides an overview of relevant scientific topics within the HTI domain and their theoretical foundations. Also, it includes aspects of the philosopy of social sciences and ethical considerations, as relevant to HTI research. The core of the course consists of a series of guest lectures describing research at the interplay between human and technology. In the assignments, students will get familiar with writing and reviewing discussion points, and writing a research proposal to test an unsolved real-life problem in the domain of HTI. Moreover, the course demonstrates how knowledge and skills acquired in the HTI Master program are relevant for professional life after the Master graduation. Alumni will give short presentations on their current work and how they used their knowledge, expertise and skills obtained during the master program in their work.
