Introduction computational science

Computer simulation replaces more and more experimental research. Experiments may be too dangerous, too expensive, unethical or simply technically impossible. Heart of computer simulation is numerical mathematics. In this course basic methods will be discussed for numerically and approximately solving mathematical problems that cannot be solved exactly by pencil and paper. The numerical mathematics methods will be explained through practical examples.
