Flexible electronics: Circuits and systems

Course

Description

Electronics is often associated to the concept of integration in miniaturized Silicon chips. However, in recent years, new ways to manufacture and design electronics have been invented, which make possible to create large surfaces equipped with electronic functions. Think to the screen of your television or smart phone, which combines several transistors per pixel to control the image with organic emitting diodes that create the light. Even more recent developments enable creating electronics that is large-area and flexible, unleashing the possibility to use new form factors in sensing, actuation, biomedical, wearables, IoT, and many more applications. In this course you will discover this new and exciting field of electronics, understand its challenges, and become able to make your first flexible electronics designs.
