Description

Objectives

After successfully completing the course, the student will be able to:
  • Perform basic modeling techniques for additive and multiplicative faults in Linear Time Invariant (LTI) systems — time and frequency domain input-output representations
  • Understand the basics of model-based fault detection and isolation in LTI systems — the role of residual generators and residual-based decision-making rules
  • Design robust model-based residual generators for fault detection and isolation
  • Understand the basics of data-based fault detection and isolation — the role of regressors, feature extraction, and classifiers
  • Design robust data-based FDI schemes from historically labeled data
  • Design hybrid model-and-data-based FDI scheme
  • Understand usage of FDI for control systems
