Flows of both air and water occurring in our environment (the atmosphere, rivers, lakes, and the oceans) affect our everyday life and several facets of the economy. On the face of climate change and a push for sustainable development, a good understading of the fluid mechanics phenomena occurring in the natural environment is essential to provide smart solutions. This course is an introduction to some of the most important of these phenomena and to how they interact to shape our surroundings.
