After the course the student is able to understand and describe the following concepts: digital wellbeing, attention, distractions, multitasking, and compulsive checking, persuasive technology and behavior change, self-tracking and self-quantification, mindfulness in technology, digital addiction and digital detox, digital tools supportive of mental health, user-centred and value sensitive design.

After the course, the student is able to creatively explore the concepts mentioned above in the context of a specific case that is offered during the course

After the course, the student is able to apply the abovementioned concepts in formulating and prototyping a justified design direction for a solution based on a specific case description

After the course the student is able to evaluate the impact of digital tools and media on intentional use, attention, mental health, interpersonal connection, work and collaboration.
