Design for social innovation

Course

Description

The multitude of societal challenges we face nowadays can be seen as signals of a need for a new paradigm. As Gardien et al. (2014) indicate “[with] processes, methods, tools and competencies from an older paradigm, it can only come to solutions that fit that older paradigm”. Hence, moving towards new paradigms invites alternative theories and practices for societal transformations. In this elective, you will explore new theories and practices that contribute to social innovation and support making the jump to transformation paradigm.
